Pay What You Feel: A Different Way to Pay

I love running workshops and creating spaces where people can slow down, learn something new, meet other people and enjoy making. But I also know that workshops can feel like a luxury, especially when household budgets are stretched.

I don’t want the cost to be the thing that stops someone from coming along. That's why all of my 2026 workshops are offered on a Pay What You Feel basis.

We all have different circumstances. What is an affordable amount for one person may be completely out of reach for someone else. I wanted to find a way of recognising that, while still making sure the workshops are sustainable for me to run.

So rather than having one fixed price, I’m inviting you to pay what you feel is right for you.

As a guide, I’m suggesting £30–£45 for a half day and £55–£75 for a full day.

These are suggested amounts, not fixed prices. If you can afford to pay at the higher end, or a little more, that really does help. It means I can continue offering the workshops in this way and keep the door open to people who may need to pay less.

And if you need to pay less, that is absolutely okay too.

I know that Pay What You Feel may be unfamiliar, and perhaps even a little uncomfortable at first. We’re so used to seeing a set price and knowing exactly what something is supposed to cost.

So please take the suggested prices as a guide, think about what feels manageable for you, and choose an amount without overthinking it. There really is no pressure and no awkwardness.

If you’ve wanted to come along to one of my workshops but have hesitated because of the cost, I hope this gives you the opportunity to join in.

Come along, have a cuppa, meet some lovely people and give slow stitching a try.
