    Hand Stitched Bird Wall Hanging

    This is a slow sewing session designed for rest, creativity, and gentle companionship. No sewing experience is needed at all — I’ll provide plenty of templates, guidance, and clear instructions. We start the session with a grounding exercise and end with a gentle meditation. The session is designed so that you can make the wall hanging at an easy pace, and take time for yourself. If the weather is warm and kind, there are plenty of quiet corners in our green garden where you can sit, stitch, and enjoy the sunshine, and birds, in peace.

    • Suitable for beginners
    • Maximum of 8 people per workshop, so lots of 1 to 1 support
    • Full day course 10am-4pm
    • Includes materials, drinks and homemade cake. Please bring a packed lunch.

    Starry Night Wall Hanging

    As the days begin to lengthen—before the summer stretches the light late into the evening—join us for a 3-hour slow stitching workshop inspired by the quiet magic of a big starry night. You’ll create a hand-stitched night-sky wall hanging in a session that encourages unhurried making, gentle focus, and the quiet pleasure of hand sewing. We begin with a gentle grounding practice to help you feel connected to what you’re creating, and end with a guided meditation so you leave for home chilled and relaxed!

    • Suitable for beginners - no sewing experience needed at all.
    • Maximum of 8 people per workshop, so lots of 1 to 1 support
    • Half day course 1.30pm-4.30pm
    • Includes materials, drinks and homemade cake.

    An Introduction to Slow Stitching: making a meditation roll

    An introduction to the joy of slow sewing by making a simple meditation roll; a hand-stitched strip of fabric that can be as simple or complicated as you like. We start the session with a grounding exercise and end with a gentle meditation. Don’t worry if you’ve never picked up a needle before – this is for everyone, no experience needed

    • Suitable for beginners
    • Maximum of 6 people per workshop, so lots of 1 to 1 support
    • Half a day in North Yorkshire
    • Includes materials, drinks and homemade cake.

    Exploring Slow Stitching

    Explore the technique of slow sewing by making a simple picture roll. Using nature based themes and topics you’ll create your own stitched artwork. We start the day with a grounding exercise and end with a gentle meditation. This course is suitable for confident beginners.

    Narrative Slow Stitching

    A one-day mindful course connecting creativity and nature. Sit in stillness, draw inspiration from the garden, and reflect on your surroundings. Through meditation and observation, capture your words and feelings, then record and stitch them. A gentle, grounding experience to nurture wellbeing through mindful making.

    • Maximum of 6 people per workshop, so lots of 1 to 1 support

    How to book your workshop

    To book your workshop or retreat day, please visit our Booking Info page for full details.

    From there, you can email your details with the date and workshop you'd like to join. You'll recieve a booking form so that we have all the information needed to reserve your place and make your experience smooth and enjoyable. During 2026 all workshops are pay what you feel, either please bring cash with you and pay on the day or let me know if you prefer to arrange a bank transfer.
